WAPITI – A SUMMARY OF KEY EVENTS AND DECISIONS SINCE 2003
In January, 2003, The Conservation Fund (the Fund) a Washington
D.C.-based non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation
of large tracts of land, joined in partnership with the Diocese
to acquire Wapiti Farm, a 616 acre tract with a mile of waterfront
on the Elk River, a tributary of the Chesapeake.

ECCLESIASTICAL TRIAL
Jun 9 | Philadelphia Marriott
The Standing Committee has been advised by the Church Attorney
that the Ecclesiastical Trial of the Right Reverend Charles E.
Bennison, Jr., on the Presentment dated October 29, 2007 on
charges filed by the then Presiding Bishop, Frank Griswold, has
been scheduled for June 9, 2008. The trial will be conducted in
Philadelphia and will be open to the public.

ECS URBAN BRIDGES MARKS ANOTHER YEAR OF ADULT EDUCATION SUCCESS
The pews in St. Gabriel's church were filled to capacity on April
24 to honor the students, tutors and teachers in the annual
closing ceremony of the Adult Literacy Program of ECS Urban
Bridges.

This graduation season is bittersweet at the ECS Beacon, as the

ANTIRACISM TRAINING WORKSHOP

The Leadership Institute and the Antiracism Commission (ARC) of
DIOPA are jointly sponsoring an Antiracism Training Workshop
which will be held at the Brossman Center of The Lutheran
Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.

CHRIST CHURCH PRESERVATION TRUST WINS AWARD
The Christ Church Preservation Trust was recognized as a Grand
Jury Award winner at the 15th Annual Preservation Achievement
Award luncheon of the Preservation Alliance of Greater
Philadelphia on May 1, 2008.

ZAROUHIE ABDALIAN "ALIASINGS"

The Philadelphia Cathedral presents Zarouhie Abdalian's exhibition
"Aliasings". Abdalian's artwork explores aerial photographs of
Philadelphia and of her hometown, New Orleans, through a variety
of media, investigating the relationship between distance and f
idelity, scale and noise.

LECTURE FROM GREAT BRITAIN'S CHIEF RABBI

INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE IN THE SERVICE OF PEACE
